It's been almost a decade since the last Modest Mouse studio album -- an especially long gap even for a group known to take its time between albums, with four years separating 2000's 'The Moon and Antarctica' from 'Good News for People Who Love Bad News' and its massive single, 'Float On,' and another three leading to 2007's Johnny Marr-aided 'We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.' Since then, frontman Isaac Brock launched an independent record label, the group worked on music with OutKast MC Big Boi and somehow became a festival-headlining live behemoth.
