Digitech Gnx4 Pro Tracks Plus

Digitech GNX3000, Vista Ok stop laughing, I have vista!! Software penangkap sinyal wifi jarak jauh untuk pc. I am currently running Pro Tracks Plus to record my band (It is a product bundled with the digitech guitar pedal, and is based upon SONAR 2) On paper the pedal, when used as a soundcard on the computer, should record 4 channels simultaneously, which it is doing with the Pro Tracks Plus software!! (My computer sees the digitech as 2 soundcards in WDM mode - a 2 in, 2 out for USB 1-2, and a 2 in only for USB 3-4) I am looking to upgrade to SHS6, and would like to assure myself that I will still be able to record all 4 channels simultaneously (Plus a MIDI channel from my m-audio midisport 1x1!!) before I part with any of my hard earned cash!!! There is a motive for upgrading - Pro Tracks does not support VSTi's, and I am aiming to record our drummer though his MIDI drum kit using JAMSTIX 2 (A VSTi I have purchased) I have evaluated a sequencer called REAPER, which seems OK, except that its WDM support is not as good as the old Pro Tracks product, as it will only allow me to record 2 channels of audio from my digitech simultaneously. Thanks for any advice that you can give!! If you haven't already, contact Shane at Digitech tech support. He is really up on the Vista issues with the GNX products. I have a GNX4 and just moved up a week or so ago to HS6 XL because my OS is Vista Home Premium and you know the issues with PTP and Vista.

I do not have a direct answer to your question because this is all new to me and I have only had my computer for just over 7 months. Shane is the kind of tech that if he not sure of an answer he will jump on the internet while he is on the phone with you to help find the answer. That is service! Forums are also new to me.If there is a way that us Digitech and HS users can forum,we could throw each other bones to help each other out. Marshall vintage modern. I found your post just today while doing a random search for any kind of GNX people.I see you are a new member also, and I do not know about you but some of this stuff I can get a hold on but most is overwelming. You got to start somewhere.

If you are moving up to Home Sudio 6, get the XL version. The added goodies are well worth the price.Guitarcenter.com or Sweetwater.com have the best prices I have found. I am sure you have been to the guitarworkstation forum and know there is more opinions than specific answers(that's my opinion).

The Active Controller Technology device(HS6 XL) has the GNX4 listed as well as Digitech hands free recording.I have not gotten that far yet so I do not know how well it works. PS:People laugh at us Vista users like they were laughed at by the 98 and 2000 users.I'm grunt for a large corporation and our area just upgraded from 98 to XP Pro last year.
