I have recently upgraded a small network (4 PCs with one of them acting as server) from W95 to W98. DataEase 4.53 was previously working fine with both system and data files held on the server. Now, following upgrade, it is impossible to run DataEase across the network although local installations work perfectly.

The network is running on Client for MS Networks and all other network operations are OK. The DEASE and DEDATA directories on the server can be seen and accessed from all workstations. DE16M.EXE can be activated from any workstation and the sign-on screen appears normally. However, on completion of the sign-on at a workstation (the final entry - security password) the cursor runs full left and the programme locks up. All workstations have DEPATH and DENAME entries in AUTOEXEC.BAT and FILES=200 in CONFIG.SYS.
