1 Failed To Install Iskernel Files Windows 7

Windows updates shows the install status as failed and prompts us to restart to finish the install. Windows shows that it is installed.

The computer has restarted many times and always prompts for a restart. I am unable to uninstall the update with add / remove programs, it is on the list, but wont uninstall because I need to restart. I have downloaded it manually but it won’t let me install it since it is already installed. I ran these commands but the dism command wont work. The next step looks like it is to boot to linux and delete the files manually, is there something else I should try first?

Hi, I have read your issue and it seems that something block the updates configuration. We would like to suggest you perform the steps below to fix. Check for other updates and install it especially Service Pack 1. If it doesn't work, uninstall anti-virus software temporarily and start the Windows in clean boot mode due to we consider if any 3rd party software block it. If it doesn't help, you would better upload your WindowsUpdate.log to us.

The log is under the path of 'C: Windows'. Before we know that, you could perform System Restore to let the PC back to the normal point before the updates and hide the updates temporarily.
