Installshield Custom Dialog Examples
I have developed a custom dialog for IS6.1, and I want it to handle the Cancel button and window close (the X icon) the same as the normal IS built-in dialogs. Many of the examples in the documentation do this by handling the default case in the WaitOnDialog loop like this: default: if (SdIsStdButton (nId) && SdDoStdButton (nId)) then bDone = TRUE; endif; By experimentation, I've found that this works (both Cancel and X) if my custom dialog uses SD_PBUT_CANCEL as the id of the cancel button, but not if I use SD_PBUT_EXITSETUP. My concern is that I can find no documentation on either SdIsStdButton or SdDoStdButton. Is this the recommended way to handle Cancel in custom dialogs? Why are these functions undocumented then?

These functions have no obvious use other than in that boilerplate code, so documenting them has never made far enough up the priority list to actually get done. -- Mark Pundurs Senior Technical Writer InstallShield Software Corporation.
