Click to expand.My Xtreamer Pro is still fine as well, it works with nfs and smb shares, plays practically everything, functional movie and photo preview, very smooth subtitles fonts (better than A-410 for example). It shows video/audio stream names (languages for audio tracks) so when I switch between multiple audio tracks I know when I'm on the right one. Just to compare - A-410 doesn't show that, all what you can see is 1/5, 2/5 etc. So you must listening to know what language it is - bit annoying when there is several tracks available So seriously, with all this crap about Xtreamer, the Pro one was good in my opinion.

The hardware issues has already been mentioned here. Maybe the fan noise-problem is an individual since one user reported no noise at all for two units (yes, he bought TWO), but it seems nevertheless to be very common. My unit is one of those noisy ones, and it is so bad that it sounds even worse than an XBOX 360 Phat. It's a rather mechanical sound that cuts through even if one tries to overpower it with the amplifier.

The solution for this so far will for me be to simply disconnect it as some user did. It will work as long as not running it too hard with an internal drive. I'll see if it is something that can be replaced futher on.

The second hardware problem is the air mouse, it is very evident and irritating. The receiver basically won't get a good signal since it is sits on the back of the unit, the metal casing is probably interfering. The pointer is jerky in the movement, most of the time reacts badly and sometimes looses the connection altogether. I will try connecting it to a usb extension cable and see if that helps. KODI is completely useless since the sound stutters enormously, doesn't matter what movie or sound setting used (didn't try the 2.0 configuration since I expected passthrough for either DTS or Dolby 5.1 to work). KODI is also very instable, krasching frequently as it is the 14.0 rc3 alhpa. To upgrade KODI you can't just run google play.
